My name is Charlotta, but most people who know me call me Lotta. I’ve been blogging on and off since the early 2000s.
I live in south London with my husband and our two-year-old son.
I write about the UK for for newspapers in Sweden and Finland, mainly Svenska Dagbladet and Hufvudstadsbladet, and I’ve written two non-fiction books in Swedish.
The latest one looks at the historical and societal factors behind Brexit, but it’s also sort of about trauma, giving birth and interesting characters like the mole man of Hackney. Some people have said some very nice things about it.
I love folklore, odd historical stuff and anything that will teach me something new about the world.
I write a weekly newsletter where I share some of the random things I find in my ever increasing pile of books. Find out more about how to sign up here.
If you’d like to get in touch my email is charlottabuxton @ gmail.com.
